I wanted to take a minute to update you on a few things happening in DC and Tennessee:

Lamar continues to lead the conservative fight against Obamacare:
The Obama administration reported 65% of small businesses will see health insurance premiums increase because of Obamacare. While Lamar has been leading the conservative fight against Obamacare from the beginning - the Obama administration is only now admitting that Lamar was right about higher costs. You can watch Lamar debate the president about the true costs of Obamacare and join him in the fight here: RepealObamacareTN.com.

Lamar believes freeing the economy from Obama regulations will do more to raise family incomes:
The Congressional Budget Office reported a $10.10 per hour minimum wage could cut 1 million jobs. Lamar believes "instead of minimum wages, the goal should be higher family incomes. To do that, we should liberate the free enterprise system from Obama regulations and make it easier to create jobs, provide more job training and offer more choices of good schools to children of low-income parents."  Click here to read more from Nooga.com.

Lamar champions our American Values:
On Monday, Lamar visited with the 8th Graders of Watertown Elementary School.  He presented the school with an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol and gave each student a copy of the Constitution.

Lamar has led the effort to put the teaching of American history and civics back into our classrooms so more children can grow up learning what it means to be American. Stand with Lamar at TeachOurAmericanValues.com

Against the Stimulus Then, and Now:
Last week marked the five year anniversary of President Obama's so-called stimulus plan. Lamar voted against it then, and still believes "a better plan would have been to get Washington out of the way and liberate our free enterprise system to create more good jobs." It is simple: less spending and less government equals more freedom and more jobs.

The Tennessee Scorecard:
It is scorecard season in Washington, D.C. - Lamar's most recent rankings are a 100% rating from the Chamber of Commerce, a 100% rating from the National Right to Life and an "A" rating from the National Rifle Association.
