Our Constitution's protections of religious freedom is under attack
In January Lamar joined other members of Congress committed to defending our religious freedoms in filing an amicus brief challenging Obamacare's contraception mandate. Last week, the United States Supreme Court heard arguments from attorneys representing Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood. The court's decision is expected later this year.

Lamar’s reimbursement bill gains support
National parks, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, reopened using state and local dollars during last fall’s shutdown of the federal government.
