Lamar Gives the Nominee to Replace Kathleen Sebelius “an Earful”
The Blaze highlights Lamar’s remarks at the hearing of President Obama’s Secretary of HHS nominee.
“We want to repair the damage that Obamacare has done and prevent future damage, as responsibly and rapidly as we can. We’d like to move in a different direction to put in place proposals that would increase freedom, increase choices and lower costs,” Alexander said. ”We trust Americans to make these decisions ourselves. We believe that is the American Way.”

Lamar is Leading the Conservative Fight to End Wasteful Taxpayer Subsidies
In an Op-Ed in The Wall Street Journal , Lamar laid out the reasons we need to end the unnecessary wind power subsidy because it costs the American taxpayers billions of dollars each year.
Lamar’s three reasons to end the wind subsidy are because it wastes money, it undercuts reliable electricity such as nuclear and coal, and it destroys the environment in the name of saving the environment.
Lamar is Working to Create an Environment for More Jobs for all Tennesseans
At Saturday’s commencement ceremony at East Tennessee State University, Lamar spoke about obstacles recent graduates might face such as student loan debt and a stagnant post graduate job market. Johnson City Press highlights Lamar’s work to create an environment for job creation by liberating the free enterprise system from burdensome rules and regulations.
“The best thing is to liberate the free enterprise system for jobs,” Alexander said. “We have too many rules and regulations.”
